Notes:
The complete specification with resistance to burglary, fire, bullets and explosion requires an installation into masonry wall with a fully grouted frame. Alternative installations where lesser specifications are required can be discussed with Pacific Door Systems Ltd.
The attack side face is a ballistic steel plate welded to a steel framework. The areas around the locking components are reinforced with high tensile steel plate.
The non-attack side consists of light gauge steel panels screw fixed to the internal steel framework.
This door set is not available as a pair.
The tested and certified door set can only be fitted with specific Mottura multipoint locking hardware. Any additional hardware required must be specified in detail at the time of ordering so that correct preparation of the steel door leaf and frame can be made. This includes any door furniture or items which may be screw-fixed to or through the outside face.
Surface-mounted closers mounted on the inside face are recommended.
The leaf is hung on three fully mortised 4½” x 4½” stainless steel institutional hinges.
A Mottura 85.371 lock case is internally mounted in the leaf. The lock case has four locking bolts plus a latch bolt and it also controls an additional four locking bolts, two vertical and two horizontal. All locking points are reinforced for maximum security. A handle operates the latch bolt only, while the key operates the horizontal and vertical lock bolts.
The lock cylinder is protected by a Mottura “Defender” protective cover. The lock can be fitted with any double sided europrofile cylinder. The use of an Abloy “Protec” cylinder or similar is recommended for maximum security. If a single sided europrofile cylinder is to be used it must be advised at the time of ordering.
Note that fitting of deadlocks and other non-self-latching hardware will make the door set non-compliant in respect to the standard NZS 4520 Fire-resistant door sets.
This door set is only available in a steel frame.
The leaf is hung in a frame of 2.0 mm folded steel.
The fire resistance rating only applies to a door set installed in a masonry or concrete wall with a fully grouted frame. Bullet resistance rating requires the frame to be fully grouted or else to include ballistic protection in the frame.
Standard frames are three-sided only with no sill. Four-sided frames and/or custom sills may be available on request. For more in depth information on frame profiles and sizes, please see our Installation Instructions.
Vision panels are not currently an option on this door set. Please contact Pacific Doors to discuss your requirements.
