Leaf Type

Core: Solid Core

Capping: Pacific anodised aluminium extrusion capping to vertical edges.

Facings: High Pressure Laminate (e.g. Formica or HPL) or sheet Vinyl (preferably flooring grade) over Medium Density Fibreboard.

Leaf Thickness: Nominal 47mm thick.

Leaf Sizes: The Hospital Slider door set is available for manufacture to any practical size to suit client requirements. Thought should be given to the available sizes of leaf facings so that there are no visible joins, and so that the structural integrity of the door is not compromised.

• Metal Sheet, mild or stainless (0.6 - 1.0mm)
• Aluminium Sheet (0.3 - 1.0mm)
• High Pressure Laminate up to 1.5mm thick (eg: Laminex, Formica)
• Sheet Vinyl (1.25 - 2mm)

Leaf Edges

The Pacific Hospital Sliding door set includes aluminium extrusion capping to the two long edges. Standard finish is natural anodized (silver). Other leaf edges are available upon request.

Frame Types & Profiles

Timber Frame
The standard hospital slider door set is not available in a timber frame.

Steel Frame
The standard steel frame for this door is type S4 sliding door frame:

Note: Frame shown with optional folded steel stop to receive lock.

Standard frames are three-sided only with no sill.

Hardware

There are no hardware limitations for the Hospital Sliding door set, however consideration should always be given to fitness for purpose.

Vision Panels

Vision panels for the Hospital door set are available with anodised aluminium the standard beading, and can be of any practical size within the door leaf provided that there is a minimum 150mm perimeter rail as shown below.

Vision panels are available double-glazed with integral venetian blinds including a controller fitted into the door face.

Glazing can be of any type to suit your requirement.
