    Leaf Sizes

    The Double Action Bi-fold door set is specified by stating the clear opening required when the door is open. The door set is manufactured with a standard clear opening of 910mm.

    This equates to door leaf widths of 697/389mm and overall frame width of 1171mm. The leaf and frame height can be made to suit site requirements.

    • Metal Sheet, mild or stainless (0.6 - 1.0mm)

    • Sheet Vinyl (1.25 - 2mm)

    Leaf Edges

    The Pacific Double Action Bi-fold door set includes anodised aluminium extrusion capping to all the vertical edges. The standard finish of the capping is natural anodized (silver).

    This door set is currently only available in a steel frame.

    Steel Frame

    The steel frame profiles listed below are available for the Double Action Bi-Fold door set

    Standard frames are three-sided only with no sill. Four-sided frames and/or custom sills may be available on request. For more in depth information on frame profiles and sizes, please see our Installation Instructions.

    Hardware

    High-quality hardware is supplied with the door set, including:

    • Allegion Brio RSD75 pivots and rollers
    • Allegion L9V25 mortice lock
    • Allegion LA704INDS privacy indicator plate with emergency release and lever as external handle
    • Allegion LA754RINDS with disabled thumb turn and lever as internal handle    

    The double-acting hinge between the two door leaves is proprietary hardware exclusive to Pacific Door Systems Ltd.

    Seals

    Seals are fitted to the vertical edges for visual privacy control.

    Testing

    The Pacific Double Action Bi-fold door set has been subjected to cyclic testing of 100,000 cycles. The door set was installed in a purpose-built test rig simulating robust opening and closing of the door in both directions. The testing was independently witnessed by Opus Central Laboratories as described in their report 525558.00 dated Jan 2011.

  • As this door set is generally located in bathrooms, vision panels are not commonly required. However should you wish to have a vision panel, this can be arranged.
