  • The VP120-DA is a Pyropanel FR board Maxi door.

    Pacific Double Action door sets are 180o pivoting doors suitable for interior installation only. The door set configuration may be single leaf or pair, finished with a variety of facings and pivoted in a steel frame.

    Bottom seals are not available with this door type.

    The thickness of the VP120 DA SF door leaf is 48mm with an approximate leaf weight of 35kg/m2

    Wall Types

    Jambs may be connected to timber stud, steel stud or concrete/masonry walls.

    The minimum specification for each wall type is:

    • Precast concrete (150mm thickness minimum) or grouted blockwork (140mm thickness minimum).
    • Non-load bearing steel stud partitions of minimum specifications GBS60 (for VP30-DA), GBS90 (for VP60-DA) or GBS120a (for VP120DA). Note that 100mm nom. wall framing is necessary where fitting of the head spring hardware is specified.
    • Non-load bearing timber stud partitions of minimum specifications GBT30 (for VP30-DA) or GBT60b (for VP60-DA), GBT90 (for VP90-DA) or GBT180 (for VP120DA) (as listed in “Gib® Fire Rated Systems”), all based on minimum 100x50mm framing. Note that minimum 100mm nom. wall framing is necessary where fitting of head spring hardware is specified.
  • Leaf Facings

    • Plywood
    • Aluminium sheet (0.3mm to 1mm)
    • Steel – mild or stainless (0.6 – 0.9mm)
    • Hardboard

    Notes:

    1. Door comes clashed with aluminium bullnose section to enable the double action movement.
    2. Paint Quality doors will have visible phenolic stud heads near the top of the leaf face

    Meeting Stile

    The meeting stiles listed below are applicable to paired door sets only.

  • Timber Frame

    Timber frames are not applicable for fire doors above 60 minute fire rating.

     

    Steel Frame

    The steel frame profiles listed below are available for the VP120DA door set.

    Stainless steel frames are only approved grouted into masonry or concrete walls.

    Standard frames are three-sided only with no sill. Four-sided frames and/or custom sills may be available on request. Timber sills are not available on fire doorsets. For more in depth information on frame profiles and sizes, please see our Installation Instructions.

  • Thermal insulation

    This door leaf has a thermal insulation rating (R-value) of 0.692 Km2/W.

Product Optional Extras

  • Push or Kickplates

    Push plates or kickplates can be of the below permitted materials and can be either surface mounted or recessed flush. Fixing may be via screws or contact adhesive only.

    • Steel
    • Acrovyn

     

    Restaurant Function

    A modified door set allowing two door leaves to open 90o in opposite directions and closing onto short header-fixed stops is available.

     

      Excessive Frame Gaps

      Standard gap between leaf edge and frame is 3-4 mm. Gaps between 4-10 mm can be made compliant by inclusion of an intumescent seal in the frame scallop.

       

      Decorative Panels

      Decorative panels (e.g. stone, glass, timber or similar) can be added to one face of the door leaf provided:

      •    Panel is glue fixed (no screws or nails)
      •    Panel weight is less than 35 kg
      •    Leaf dimensions are 2400 x 1020 or less
      •    Leaf is hung in a steel frame

      Panels to be installed on site by others. They can be either glued directly to the face of the leaf or onto timber battens glued to the leaf.

      If the decorative panel is on the hinge face of the leaf, please specify extended "wide throw" hinges.
      Please note that special hardware items may be required (e.g. extended spindles).
      Decorative panels are not allowed in conjunction with vision panels.

       

      Smoke Control

      If a smoke control rating is required, the top edge seal is a Lorient LAS3004si silicone fin seal face mounted to the top of one leaf face.

    • Overpanels with transom are available to an overall height of 3600mm in single or paired door sets.
