The Pacific Carbon Core doorset is a light weight foamed core flush-panel door set, prehung on high quality steel hinges in a timber or steel frame.
Doors are available as single leaf or pair leaf, finished in a variety of facings.
The standard doorset is intended for interior use in dry conditions, however it is suitable for exterior conditions with the appropriate facing.
Carbon Core doorsets are preferred where light weight and moderate impact resistance is required.
If hardware is to be fixed to the door face it may require blocking in the door and so must be specified at time of order.
Core: 30mm thick lightweight foamed core
Rails, Stiles: Radiata Pine, butt-joined and stapled
Clashing: Paint Quality doors are unclashed as standard. Veneered doors are clashed in matching timber, thickness 5mm, to vertical edges.
Facings: Medium Density Fibreboard is standard
Pre-easing: 2mm
Thickness: This door leaf is available as 38, 40, 42, 45 or 47mm thick. Standard size is 40mm thick.
Leaf Sizes: The carbon core door is available for manufacture to any practical size to suit client requirements. Thought should be given to the facings of oversize door leafs so that there is no visible join in the face of the door.

Standard frames are three-sided only with no sill. Four-sided frames and/or custom sills may be available on request. For more in depth information on frame profiles and sizes, please see our Installation Instructions.
Vision panels for the Carbon Core Door set are available with timber, aluminium or steel bead, and can be of any practical size within the door leaf provided that there is a minimum 150mm perimeter rail as shown below.
Glazing can be of any type to suit your requirements.
This door leaf has a thermal insulation rating (R-value) of 0.368 Km2/W (for a 40 mm thick leaf).
This door is not tested for water ingress in exterior installations and we make no statement as to its suitability under NZBC E2 "External moisture". All exterior doors should be given as much shelter as possible and be fitted with appropriate flashing systems
There are no hardware limitations for the Carbon Core Door set, however consideration should always be given to fitness for purpose.
Concealed hinges are not an option on this doorset.
