Pacific Hospital Double Action Door Set

 

The Pacific Hospital Double Action door set includes features designed to increase impact resistance and durability in high-use situations.

The solid-core, flush-panel door comes with high quality top and bottom pivots in a steel frame. Doors are available as single leaf or pair leaf, finished in a variety of facings.

The standard door set is intended for interior use only.

Leaf Type

Core: Solid Core

Capping: Pacific anodised aluminium extrusion capping to vertical edges.

Facings: High Pressure Laminate (e.g. Formica or HPL) or sheet Vinyl (preferably flooring grade) over Medium Density Fibreboard.

Leaf Thickness: Nominal 47mm thick.

Leaf Sizes: The Hospital DA door set is available for manufacture to any practical size to suit client requirements. Thought should be given to the available sizes of leaf facings so that there are no visible joins, and so that the structural integrity of the door is not compromised.

Leaf Edges

The Pacific DA Hospital door set includes aluminium extrusion capping to the two long edges. Standard finish is natural anodized (silver).

Frame Types & Profiles

Timber Frame

The Hospital DA door set is not available in a timber frame.

Steel Frame

The steel frame profiles listed below are available for the Pacific Hospital door set

        

 

Standard frame reveal for the head section is 65 mm if a transom closer is used and 38 mm for a floor spring. Standard reveal for the jambs is 38 mm or 65 mm if required to match the head. A transom closer is recommended in most cases for ease of installation and maintenance.

Standard frames are three-sided only with no sill. Four-sided frames and/or custom sills may be available on request. For more in depth information on frame profiles and sizes, please see our Installation Instructions.

Product Optional Extras

Vision Panels

Vision panels for the Hospital door set are available with anodised aluminium the standard beading, and can be of any practical size within the door leaf provided that there is a minimum 150mm perimeter rail as shown below.

Vision panels are available double-glazed with integral venetian blinds including a controller fitted into the door face.

Glazing can be of any type to suit your requirement.

Please refer to the NZBC Clause D1 section 7 for acceptable glazing solutions if your door is in an accessible route.

Hardware

There are no hardware limitations for the Hospital door set, however consideration should always be given to fitness for purpose.

Pivoting hardware should be included in the hardware specification, it is not included with the door as standard.

Acoustic rating

An acoustic rating is not an option on this door set.
