Pacific VP60-SE Secure Door Set -/60/60sm

The VP60-SE is a Pyropanel FR board Maxi door.

The Pacific VP60-SE is a single leaf side hung fire door set with robust facings and edge reinforcement, hung in a steel frame.

The VP60-SE is recommended where a combination of vandal resistance and proven fire rating is required.

The smoke control door set includes the PFS-4 frame seal. If required, bottom seals can be selected from the Hardware list.

The thickness of the VP60-SE door leaf is 50mm with an approximate leaf weight of 44kg/m2

Notes:

  1. Please note that the maximum leaf width shown above is measured per door leaf.
  2. The ‘sm’ above denotes that the door is available as a smoke control door set.
  3. Minimum width for a fire door leaf is governed by the need to fit a compliant closer. Typically, 400 mm is the practical minimum.

Timber Frame

This door set is only available in a steel frame. Please refer to the VP60 for a fire door in a timber frame.

Steel Frame

Pressed steel frames are available in the below frame profiles.

The VP60-SE door set is available in the two-part steel frame system for fixing to walls already lined.

 

Notes:

  1. D2 and D4 are limited to a fire rating of -/60/30 sm.
  2. D2 and D4 require minimum 110 mm wall thickness

Meeting Stiles

This door set is only available as a single leaf door set.

Wall Types

Jambs may be connected to timber stud, steel stud or concrete masonry.
The minimum specification for each wall type is:

  • Precast concrete (100mm thickness) or grouted blockwork (minimum 140mm thickness).
  • Timber or steel stud platerboard walls of FRR -/60/60 or above. Note that steel framed VP60-SE door sets may only be installed in walls of minimum stud size ex 100x50mm.

Fire resistant vision panels available for the VP60-SE may not be adequate for security or weather resistance requirements; however doors with vision panels can be supplied where the impact resistance of the glazing is reinforced with Mylar film overlay. Please contact Pacific Doors for more details.

Approved door viewers (peepholes) are available.

A tested security door set with up to 90 minutes fire resistance is available with security glazing in steel beading – refer to the SPS1-FR and SPS1-E security door sets.

Push or Kickplates

Given that this door is clad in steel sheet, kickplates are not commonly required.

Thermal Insulation

This door leaf has a thermal insulation rating (R-value) of 0.645 Km2/W.

Technical Compliance Statement

The VP60-SE fire door complies with the requirements of NZS 4520 Fire-resistant door sets when installed in accordance with Pacific Doors’ Installation Instructions into a complying fire-resistant wall, and when fitted with approved hardware.

NZS 4520 is referenced in the New Zealand Building Code Acceptable Solutions (Appendix C 6.1.1)

Pacific VP60-SE fire doors have been successfully fire-tested in accordance with AS1530.4, as referenced in NZS 4520 and in Appendix C 5.1.1.

The fire resistance achieved by the VP60-SE was FRR -/60/60

The VP60-SE has been tested to and met the physical endurance requirements of NZS 4520 Appendix A.

The VP60-SE fire door will satisfy the requirements of NZBC, B2 “Durability” under conditions of use, installation and maintenance specified by Pacific Doors, or specific contractual guarantees, whichever are overriding.

This door is not tested for water ingress in exterior installations and we make no statement as to its suitability under NZBC E2 "External moisture". All exterior doors should be given as much shelter as possible and be fitted with appropriate flashing systems.
